❤️ Yes, We Have to Take It All Apart

2 minute read

Hi Reader!

As I’ve been recounting the details of all our recent moves (4 in the last 5 years), there is one question I’ve been getting a lot lately:

“Surely, the landlord (or next tenants!) must appreciate your changes! Why do you always take everything apart?”

Unfortunately, over our 20+ years of being renters, we’ve been able to leave behind only a very few of our projects.

In this month's Coffee Break, I’m breakdown why and sharing how it doesn’t really stop me from doing what I do!

My monthly Coffee Breaks are always over on the blog instead of here in your email, since these posts tend to be longer and generate good discussion! Grab a cup of coffee and catch up with me here…

Month In Review: June

Last month I revealed a big "secret" - that we moved again! Catch up on why and the first few glimpses of our 12th home in the posts below!

Whether it’s an invitation to coffee, a book club suggestion, or a new community service, there is a vulnerability in saying “What do you all think of this idea?” For years, I let the fear of being wrong, stupid, silly, or unlikable keep me from ever suggesting anything. But in recent months, I’ve chosen to stuff that anxiety down and instead speak up, ask the question, or make the suggestion....

5 minute read Hi Reader! File this one under “Posts I Always Meant to Write But Never Got To.” But the questions keep coming, so I figured it was finally time to answer them! Today, I want to share what we learned when using PODS for two of our military moves.
