Hi Reader!

Today I want to tell you the story of my poor old cedar chest.

How (for years!) it had been banished to the most hidden and forgotten corners of our home, only to be fully restored and given a brand new purpose and place of honor.

This is a “glow up” story far too long in the making; and I’m not even sure I should share it, as updating old/antique pieces is always somewhat controversial.

But I think you’ll see how the decision to (finally!) paint this chest is ultimately what brought it back inside our home, and our hearts, where it belongs!

Sneak Peek

I recently helped my sister install a wallpaper mural. I was pretty nervous because I've only done a mural one other time. But this project reminded me that murals can be even easier than wallpaper! Next week, I'm explaining why so you'll feel inspired to give one a try too!

Behind the Scenes

All my kids went back to school this week. And like every summer before, the weeks felt both painfully long and maddeningly short! Regardless of how fast school came back around though, the whole household is excited and ready for structure, routine, and a great year ahead!
