❤️ The 3 Plants Always In My House

Hi Reader!

Last week on the blog, I spent some time chatting about plants, particularly how to move them.

And since my solution is usually not to move them, I get lots and lots of opportunities to try new plants each time we settle into a new place.

In recent years, I've found myself buying the same few plants over and over because they are the perfect combination of 1) easy to care for, and 2) they look really good!

Read on to see the three plants I always have in my home!

Pathos. Pathos plants are one of the easiest and most gratifying plants you can have in your home, regardless of how green (or not!) your thumb is! Not only do they come in lots of different varieties, but they literally show you when they need water (via drooping leaves!) These plants grow large and full, making them lovely decor statements; and they can easily be propagated to make even more plants from your single investment!

Snake Plant. This is another plant that is super easy to care for and gives you a lot of visual "bang for your buck." They don't require a lot of water or a lot of sunlight, allowing you to put them (almost) anywhere in your home. And since they come in a range of sizes, you can easily find one for any pot you have (even really big ones, which are my favorite!)

Fiddle Leaf Fig. I know, I know. These get a bad rap for being difficult to care for...and they can be because they are pretty particular about their environment, But! Once you DO find the right spot, they grow (and grow BIG!) with very little attention or effort. And boy, they really do bring instant style to any room!

TIP! Do you get overwhelmed in the plant aisle trying to figure out which plant is what? Me too! I've actually had really good luck ordering plants from Costa Farms on Amazon (yes, Amazon!) Not only are they delivered right to my doorstep, but I know exactly what I'm getting!

Hi Reader! Last week, over on the blog, I (finally) detailed the very painful process of removing the peel and stick tile from our rental kitchen. And there was one tool that was essential to getting the project done. Read on to see why my hair dryer (!!!) is one of the most-used items in my "rental decor toolbox." As a renter, I rely a lot on peel-and-stick products. From adhesive wallpaper on our walls, Command Strips on our frames, stick-on shower caddies, and more...sometimes you just...

HI Reader! Over the years, I have experimented with A LOT of different materials to make labels for the various surfaces in our home(s). From vinyl labels cut with my Cricut machine to basic text printed with a label maker (and pretty much everything in between), I've tried it ALL. There really is no "one size fits all" solution for labeling every single thing in the home. But in recent years, I've found myself reaching for a particular product...over and over...because it really is the...
